Technology.

Technology companies, including those in the software, renewable energy, and web development industries, rely on our intellectual property expertise in order to protect and license their technological works. Clients in this industry have included LivePerson, a Manhattan headquartered software company; Clean Energy Design, a Massachusetts based renewable energy company; and Gelo Factory, L.L.C., a Manhattan based web design and technology concern. In order to ensure that our clients can obtain attorneys fees and statutory damages for the unauthorized use of their technological works, we often register copyrights for our technology clients, or we refer them to affiliated patent counsel for the registration of their patents. To further protect our clients' technological works, the firm often drafts and negotiates the following agreements, among others: operating agreements, software licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and employment or subcontractor agreements with work-for-hire, non-compete, and non-solicitation provisions.

Gelo Factory retained Ryan E. Long to prepare a partnership operating agreement, subcontractor agreement, and NDA. Ryan helped us further refine our existing work-for-hire contract and consulted on various legal verbiage regarding intellectual property for our own proprietary technologies. We found Ryan's professionalism to be exceptional and liked how he was next to us through each step by being accessible when we needed him. We recommend him for any type of business who has contractual needs.
